Have you tried using www.fotofuze.com, this is in addition to a good camera/phone and a white background, also maybe some small editing done on www.fotor.com, you should be good to go.

I also have the same issue, my products are being rejected because my images are low quality. I asked if they have a photographer than can help.

I use to have this problem before but now its a thing of the past as i now have my own product photo mini studio in my house ( you wont believe how cheap i created this studio) I wish we were allowed to post pictures in the forum, i would have posted my studio for you guys to see. It cost me less than 4,500 to set up the studio. I got a plastic table like the ones the call center people use on the street, got a used carton that is wide, got white cardboard and transparent tape, got a carpenter and electrician to make me a standing lamp with energy saving AKT bulbs with two 10mm round plastic bowl to direct the rays on the product and thats it. though i already have a pro-camera (Nikon D3100 but am not a photographer) i also use my phone to snap and i get great result from this.
I would advise that you all take your product pictures on a white background (Use a white cardboard) and then edit it using 'Fotofuze' its free on the internet. Fotofuze.com will pick your product image and place it on a more whiter background to bring out the beauty of your product. I got the idea of fotofuze from Konga Academy anyway.
call me if you need me to explain how to go about building the mini studio if you want one. 08067123330
If you are a merchant in Surulere you can come to use my studio but not my camera o! and then i show you how to get it on fotofuze.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi Tomiwa,
About issue of pictures, well, if your items are NOT fashion line, i think you have choices
    1. Get the product image from the internet (especially from the manufacturer site)
    2. Get the product image from co-merchant as long as its not a copyright issue
    3. Get a sound camera (as business is business), and be a bit 'photshopic' on your pc
    4. Endeavour to make use of white background in editing your pictures
These are steps i use myself and i can say that 95-98% time my pictures have always been accepted.

@ Stephen, note your pictures need to be at least 300x350 mega pixels. For instance you have a picture & you don't know what size it is, simply right click on it & click edit. You can adjust any picture size with this.
    Hope this helps
