Hi, I am a little confused about VAT, are there specific products exempt from VAT ,how is VAT remitted?,will Konga deduct the VAT or remit it to seller, and also is the commission charged after deduction of VAT , also where i offer free shipping, how exactly will Konga deduct commission.

Thank you, but if i may say that's a little unfair, both for the seller and buyer, free shipping makes the item more expensive if you are charging commission on the total sales price, i believe Konga should be better equipped to deduct shipping charges before commission especially when you are shipping with k express since you now the rates.
i know you will say its the sellers choice to offer free shipping to get more sales which you encourage but it does not add any competitive advantage

    Hello Olabisi,

All products sold on Konga are charged VAT. And as a seller, you are required to remit VAT on all sales made. Konga remits all deducted VAT on all sales to the required delegated authority.

Commission charges are deducted on the cost of the total sales price. This includes VAT. For orders you offer free shipping, Konga will also deduct commissions on the cost of total sales price. If you self fulfil such orders you offer free shipping, you will be issued an invoice to remit your commissions. If you ship through K-Express, you will also be charged K-Express shipping charges for the particular location order is being shipped.
