Dear Sellers, Customer reviews are extremely important in online selling as it has been proven to lead to increase in sales. Reviews are not new to business especially selling. It has been a process in business since we had businesses and people could share their views openly. Reviews appear as a permanent record of your buyers thoughts towards your products and positive customer reviews are the single most effective bit of marketing you can do for your company. And as a seller, you must be able to convince your customers to spread the good word about your business for you. This you can achieve by offering good services. Points to Note to Encourage Good Reviews From Buyers: 1) What You Advertise Is What You Should Deliver- You should ensure that what you listed for sale is what is delivered to your buyer, as this is one of the major causes of negative reviews. If the item ordered for is unavailable, ensure you reach out to the customer informing them of the unavailability and seeking their approval to deliver something similar or preferably recommend something more valuable 2) Encourage your buyers to give detailed reviews as this explains the effectiveness of the product. For instance - “This is a fantastic blender. It grinds melon so well living it very smooth. It has indeed made my cooking easier. Great customer service and delivery was very fast.
