    Dear Sellers,
It is important that you put into consideration competitive selling tactics to enable you make sales across all items in your store, particularly with the soon to be introduced minimum commission charge of N200 capped across all categories which will take effect from Friday, July 31st 2015.
Below are some tips on making the best out of the updated development:
Bundle Your Old inventory With New Ones: Every seller has that one item that doesn’t move as much as the others. Look for complementary products that you sell consistently and bundle with slow moving products.
Sell Multiple Items At Discounted Cost: Two items for the price of one is quite common. It is always more attractive to your buyers to do a “Buy 3 get 1 free” offer. Buyers are aware of the fact that they are paying less for multiple items hence will hurry to grab such offers.
Offer Free Shipping for Heavy Items: Shipping is the number one reason for shopping cart abandonment which is something to factor in as you consider your decisions. Statistics have shown that buyers are more likely to buy a heavy item with free shipping not minding if it’s just N1000 more expensive than another item which doesn’t offer free delivery. You can implement free shipping by rolling your delivery cost into your product pricing or offering free delivery over a certain order value.
Self-fulfilling High Valued Items to Reduce Returns: We encourage you to deliver high valued items through self-fulfil as this helps in quick delivery, immediate collection of payment and also reduces the risk of returns. When self-fulfilling, ensure you reach out to your buyers to confirm every detail of the item ordered before shipping.
