Thinking about the current konga decision to be charging seller such huge among of money (#2500) every month, seeing konga will be at lost. Since the inception of the mails, many online mall marketplace have been sending messaging and making calls to the merchant, introducing their marketplace to them at reduced and enticing commissions and free atmosphere. Going by the way, many sellers here on konga are NOT making profit up to #2,500 every month talkless of saying they should be paying #2500 as fee every month. Despite that the fee has not taken effect, other malls have been taking the advantages and using the opportunity to gain all konga merchants to their sites. Konga has to do something about their decision and make favorable to their merchants. Increment in commissions was taken instead of membership fee last year. But now, you want the two at the same time. Things should be done with moderate so the show can keep going. This is my observation and advised. As i'm talking now, more four(4) malls have contacted and introduced me to their site free of charge with moderate commissions. But I have to let konga know this so they can work on it. Konga is one of my first malls I started dealing with and I will not want them to fall. Thanks

After paying 15% for commission rate, It is obvious to me this monthly charge is not in consideration of merchants, the high dollar rate is really affecting sales for us now and you are talking about #2500 monthly charge. This is unacceptable. Many stores in konga dont even make #2500 profit in a month and even if they do you still want to take it away from them after taken commission fees. Then what's the point selling on konga. If monthly fee has to be implemented then the commision fee on each item should be reduced.

    My fellow merchants,
Are y'all aware of the proposed membership fee by Konga??? How in the world are we supposed proceeds from sales??? Konga is obviously ripping us off our meager profits, after charging commission on sales, why do we still need to pay a monthly fee.
Selling platforms abroad do not impose unnecessary charges on merchants such as monthly fees. Why do Nigerians like to make life difficult for small businesses. Let us all take a look at this issue and discuss. Nigerians need to speak up and speak out against injustices metted out by authorities.

The timing is so wrong; for merchants to be charged a fee for selling.Considering the present cost of funds and how difficult it is to get items into the country.
I think what you need is to verify both sellers and buyers before allowing them on the platform, consistency of attending to orders should also, be a means of taking out unserious sellers.
*Higher charges from Konga=more inferior items on the platform because of the pressure to make a gain.
*It will also lead to more angry merchants if expected sales are not made in a month .

#2500 monthly rental? Konga, it it took you 7 months to verify my account, meaning i could not upload products till January.
you took another one week to approve my products, meaning i could not sell till end of January.
It took you 13.5 days to deliver my first order (feb 3- feb 16) it will probably take you another 5-7 days for you to pay me.
You already took 47% of my profit as your commission yet you want me to pay a monthly rent of 2500 by march.
not nice doing business with you. I'm outta here.
    P.S
does anybody know of a platform that has the interest of the seller at heart?

High konga commission fees are enough renting fee of a merchant. If membership fee should work, then commission should reduce less than 50%. That is the point. There are many orders shipped not delivered for more than two months. And initial promise when konga wanted to increase commission was that any orders not delivered/returned by kexpress within two months would be paid be paid automatically. But konga has not followed this for once . No way to membership fee. Thanks

Konga merchants / sellers should have the option to choose whether they will like to subscribe to the monthly membership fee. It should not be imposed on us.

Secondly, a reminder should be sent to the sellers, few days before the monthly deduction will be made, to confirm if the seller will like to continue or discontinue; just the way we receive alerts to renew data subscription from the telecom companies.

A seller on holiday for a whole month should not be charged the fee since no transaction or advertisement of products would have transpired.

That's my position regarding the monthly fees.

Please konga take time, fish out the dormant stores and less serious merchants than charge N2500 per month.

What is the procedure for closing of store or backing out of this charge because I can not pay it.

These konga moderators should stop insulting our intelligence. How does charging a membership fee curb non serious buyers? As I write this, I have a returned item that was delivered on time and was perfectly okay. The buyer returned because it was "made in China". My item is lost in transit but the buyer has gotten his refund. Now they blame non serious merchants for return rates? Are you kidding me? Stop insulting our intelligence! I will advise fellow merchants to find a new platform to sell. Konga needs to be taught a lesson. Even the little measures they introduced to help us check non serious buyers have been rolled back. Other than that, they have been completely negligent over this issue. I am closing my store. This is the last straw
