  • Konga's Failing System and Impact on Seller's Business

    I am really appaled by the failure of the Konga and K-Express system in recent weeks.
    I have had orders cancelled even after shipment has been confirmed and invoice printed out,some other orders have been returned even when the customers have expected the orders and they were never reached out to nor the courier attempted delivery to the customer.
    Most customers whose orders indicated rejected & returned by them on tracking,have insisted that the courier never attempted delivery let alone rejection of the orders by them and they are still expecting delivery.
    Some of my orders have used 3 weeks in the delivery cycle yet no significant progress regards delivery.
    If we keep shipping within 24 hours as demanded by Konga yet the shipment stays in the cycle for 2 weeks,where does Konga expect us to get funds to restock and meet new orders.
    Payouts from my store take weeks and I have noticed that most orders stay within escrow for too long, most customers indicate delivery yet it takes over 24hours for it to appear in escrow.
    We need to review the escrow option to 72 hours to ensure we are able to meet customer expectations.
    Please ensure my outstanding payouts are processed today and all orders in accepted are not canceled until we resolve issues of fast payouts and delivery of outstanding orders.
    Also most of my orders are still at drop-off point or DC almost 7 days after drop-off,this is ridiculous.
    Please ensure that all outstanding shipped orders are delivered, returns are shipped to me within 48 hours.
    From all indications,this system has failed and we need to launch the self fulfill options without further delay.

    Despite konga cannot handle the presence numbers of sellers, they are still looking for sellers

    Guys, this is exactly how I see it. There are lots of sellers on Konga obviously. And that is one problem with the Nigerian oriented businesses. They often do not take the future into consideration when planing. Even at time, if one is smart, one would see clearly that the issues faced by Sellers on Konga is never applicable to Konga themselves. 
    if you doubt, place two orders same day and time, one from Konga, and the other from a Seller on Konga. Even if the Seller drops off first, you will notice that the one directly from Konga will get to you, and the one from the Seller will still be displaying Shipped to K-Express. 
    On a final note, I think the Self Fulfil might solve this problem - If and only If the Updated Software is well designed robustly with minimal errors.

    I was about to shed tears but after reading your write up.......the thing disappear. Presently i have some order that have not been collected by the customer and DHL is keeping it for them(4-5DAYS). could you believe that kexpress agent could not reach a customer between 10am- 10:20am and immediately marked the item rejected by customer. After speaking the the customer by 10:35am i tried reaching out to konga to see if delivery can still take place but, it seems the issue has reach the "spilled milk " level that nothing could be done.
    I do understand that konga have some security challenges(every one does) but they have to find a solution ASAP cause if/when sellers can select delivery options......i no fit shout.
    Kexpress should try to keep the items for collection if delivery could not be made at the address given. This allows the buyers a second chance to come to the konga office to pick their order/item and will help reduce the security challenge(if any) in the long run.
    I just hope one of the konga board member reads this.......lemme go and get my returning items....BRB

    These issues you have mentioned will be addressed with the launch of self fulfill. In addition, Konga is working on an instantaneous payout system, which will help speed up your payments.
