So i read on another thread that the monthly membership fees will be enforced next month, well i honestly don't have a problem paying this membership fees if the following issues are addressed before we start paying any fees.
    1. Delayed deliveries with KExpress resulting in rejected/returned orders
    2. Real time tracking of shipment
    3. Rejecting orders by buyers on Point of delivery
    4. Unserious buyers
    5. Delay in returning rejected/returned orders to seller, there needs to be an expectation set here e.g. returned/rejected goods must be sent back to seller within 10days
    6. Inpatience KEXPRESS delivery men that are quick to update shipping status as "rejected by buyer" or "rescheduled by customer" when in all honestly the customer was NEVER contacted. We all know that there is network issues in Nigeria, if they cant get them once, they should keep trying or automate the system, once an item has reached its final destination, send an automated text message to the customer so they are aware of the delivery.
    7. Deliveries stuck in one location for no valid reason resulting in delayed order.

Konga - From the bottom of my heart, i am 100% sure that if most of these issues are addressed, my fellow sellers will be more receptive to the idea of this monthly fees. We understand that there are high operational costs to continue to thrive in such a competitive environment, but you need to reason with us as well. You can't enforce a N2,500 monthly fees with all these ongoing issues, in less than a week i have been subjected to a combination of all 7 issues listed above. Not how is that fair.
Rather than deleting this thread, listen to your sellers and provide constructive feedback on how these issues will be address

My fellow sellers, please feel free to add to the issue list.....

I predict that in a short while there will be a generic response by one of the Forum Moderators and this thread will be closed as if the problem here has been resolved.

I support this feedback. but i suggest the N2500 should be scrapped out because not every seller in Konga can afford that kind of fee. not with the condition buyers put us in, out of 100% dispatched items 70% - 80% is Returned back to sellers. that is not fair at all. i will only be forced to close my shop because it would be a big reap off..

    Dear Teju,

We have only heard explicitly about how to deter merchants who aren't serious. You people have never told us about your plans for buyers who refuse to pay for their orders!

The post above is exactly my thoughts.

It is obvious that Konga is more interested in maintaining their profit level than the merchants.
First they came up with "big idea" of self fulfilling shipment cancelling free shipment. This has caused massive reduction in sales. Then they now want to bridge the loss in revenue with the introduction of N2,500 monthly membership fee.
This is what happens when you feel you have arrived and no longer need others than contributed to the success.
I stand to be corrected if I am wrong in saying merchants are not protected on konga.
Why are you more interested in charging the N2,500 than devising ways to curb returns? Why are you still holding on to POD knowing fully well how things are with it?

I personally feel this charge is a way to w**d out sellers. Maybe we are too many because for some of us sales have been not been good. I personally have not made that as profit recently. Eventually people who can't cope would have to close shop. That is just how I feel

Another things is after we pay N2,500 you will still filter the top rate of delivery sellers to be the top merchant on konga site, leaving the new or old merchant below knowing they won't be selling like the so called top sellers.
If someone will pay that amount or you people should start it. then you will have to remove the feature of filtering the follows:
    Top delivery sellers
    Top communication seller
    Top Products rating.
Dont copy aliexpress.com because they are so far from konga. alipress is worldwide why konga is only nigeria for now.

Everyone should be at random, both old and new sellers or top sellers because who ever that pay that amount of money is a serious sellers.

I second this. However, imposing a 2500 monthly fee on new stores and also collecting commission on each sales is quite bothersome. I would recommend sticking to commissions and maybe increase the percentage a bit to allow for flexibility. This is because not all stores here actually entered the business with a large revenue. I thought you guys had that in mind when you introduced the 2 different tiers of membership?
