I am based in Portharcourt and i just recieved an order to deliver in Edo state. I however found out that Konga does not have drop off points in Portharcourt only warehouse and distribution points.
How then can I deliver on my orders? Any advice is much appreciated.
    Thanks

Hope am not late also? As a new seller this is some few issues you will encounter, though am operating from the said benin, four months ago as a fresh seller, this was same issues of my first order I received from portharcourt,I was running up and down on solutions on how my customer could get it and money gets to me, I seek advice from konga customer care and they adviced me for dhl, courier plus, tranex and so on like that, and off which all this courier have one or two policy that may not go down well with you, first dhl will not handle pay on deliver, secondly contacted courier plus, they said I must register and be their commited client before they can start operation for me which will like time and weeks to get it settle and by then, order might be cancelled by then, went to tranex, they were also speaking their own dialets, saying for them to handle the pay on delivery for me to PH, I will have to deposit a commited fee of twenty thousand naira monthly, and also they will use two thousand five hundres as their commission to ph, so I ask, what if you people don't get the customer or customer rejects, they say I will still pay the commission, so I have to run as fast as I can from their office. Its was my first deal, and the customer kept bugging me for the item, after seeing there is no more hope for courier and the closest drop off to benin is akure, to even send it to akure self was a big deal not to talk of sending my item to Lagos, before they will prepare their self and starting coming back to face portharcourt, that one many days will have passed out. So I decided to try this tip though its might be dangerous to you as new seller, this was also the step I took. I located a reliable popular transport company based in Benin that Runs port harcourt, I approached any decent/neat driver, I preached to him about becoming our partner to be helping us deliver items in portharcourt, and help us collect money from customer why they will take their commission off, its sounds so good deal, I showed him the invoice the address of the customer and how much he would collect and as at then, the order was just eight thousand seven hundred naira, told the driver is own commission is one thousand two hundred naira which he agrees and I also let him no the benefit of partnering with us, and we signed a document of mutual agreement, and also let him no the concequencies when he fail to remit,we signed...and when he got to Port, he called my customer he just arrived port and he his on his way to his address, that was how the customer received the item and pay the driver, which he returned the next day to settle me. Now if you have the mind, patient, its would be easy for you and mind you even benin is more simple than port in terms of locating address within the city.. You must be able to find your way out, till date now, I started with port, now I ship to lagos, port, uyo, calarbar, delta, abuja, bayelsa, and other few states, all this are self delivery and all of them are handles by Various Transport Drivers, am even more comfortable with them than courier, because they are faster, and when customer reject item, you sure receive it nextday, if customer reject the items,no commission for them, if customer accept, they get their commission, During this coming bonanza yakata sales, a lot of sellers that depend on K-express will be badly hit. So it is better to know all this so that you can always fine your way out. When the needs be, so if you abandom this your order from benin because of logistics issues?, what will you do then if you get another order from same state again?

I hope I'm not late, make sure your buyer understands the functionality of your product, send more pics via whatsapp if the buyer is using it or call the buyer. Because for Pay on delivery if the customer rejects it u will be at big loss. I m a new seller and my first order was returned, without getting to the buyer so don't think my product was not good. She told the dispatch man that called her she doesn't want it again (she couldn't tell me regardless I was in contact with her). But because I used k-express, all I pray for is for the order to return in tact cos I will not pay for the failed delivery. If the customer pre paid for the order, I'm sure she would have opened it at least before filling for dispute, that's if there is an issue with it.
I don't wish same for you thus I am letting you know of some special buyers on konga.
    Happy selling!

    I have contacted the buyer.
As expected, we discussed issues of trust when it comes to direct dealings regarding money exchange for goods between people who have never met each other.
We both agreed and prefer that Konga be the intermediary for accountability and authenticity sakes.
So how do we proceed from here?
Do I send the product to a Konga drop off office in Lagos then the office sends it to the customer in Benin?
Otherwise if we both come to an agreement on how to send the order and recieve payment, where then does Konga come in and how does Konga get their commissions?
    Please help clarify.
    Thanks

Yes Chinedu, you can contact your buyer directly. Once an order comes in for you, your buyer' details will be included.

    Thanks for your comments.
But using alternative delivery channels implies contacting the buyer directly.
    Is that allowed by Konga?

You may use other logistics company like DHL, Courier plus and any other company Konga approves.

    Hello Chinedu,

As we work towards having drop off centers across all cities nationwide, we encourage you to self fulfill such orders you receive before then. You can make use of other shipping carriers close to you in Port-Harcourt. You can also view recommended service providers that offer affordable delivery charges from our Seller Academy- http://www.konga.com/seller-services-providers?servicename=

If you are however unable to ship such others far from you, we advise that you turn off delivery to such locations.

    Hope this helps.
