I went to your Konga Express office at Enugu on the 21/11/2015 to pick up an item I had ordered on Konga. I chose the pay on delivery option, so, on my way to the konga office, i took cash with me to pay for the item. The item cost N7,755.00(seven thousand, seven hundred and fifty five naira). I payed N7750 paper money and N5 coins. However, my N5 coins were rejected. Reason being that Konga Express Enugu does not collect payment in coins. I was in utter shock as i could not understand why coins which are a legal tender would not be collected as payment for a good. I called Konga online right there and then and i was told by the operator who picked my call that i should try and find paper money to pay. So, i want to find out: is it written somewhere in your terms and conditions that customers cannot pay for items using coins??? I was finally allowed to go with my item as one of your staff there said i should collect my coins and that he would pay the N5 for me (Imagine the insult!) I am still amazed at the whole scenario and need some explanation please!

That's the problem dear. In my mind I was rating Konga to be at the same level with shoprite or even higher. I was thinking; These are forward thinking businesses, these are not the TYPICAL Nigerian local market businesses. If shoprite would accept my coins, surely Konga would also accept my coins. But I was highly disappointed. I hope this problem has been sorted out for real and that the next time a customer goes to Konga with his/her coins, the person would receive a better treatment than I did. Thank you Moderator and my sister Bolanle.

@Chikwado, sorry about this. It doesn't make any sense to us as well. We'll investigate and get back to you on this.
