  • Been Experiencing Some Shipping Issues? This Could Be Why………..

    As an online seller, good shipping practices can make or break your business. If you operate an online store, then it is highly important that you know all you can about the power of efficient shipping. 
    
    While it’s unlikely that customers will notice when you ship efficiently, be very certain that inefficient shipping will be noticed by your customers. And as we all may have come to discover, customers rarely give feedback on good service but can be very expressive and generous with feedback when they receive bad services.
    
    Based on consistent successful shipping rate and delivery efficiency, we recently carried out a survey with some of our merchants and asked them how they have been able to build a large customer base and maintain high store performance. Many of them had some tips to share:
    	
    SHIP ON TIME-  When you receive a new order, it is important that the item is packaged immediately and delivered on the same day if possible. This is where the Konga self-fulfil comes in. While K-Express is working efficiently to accommodate a lot of shipping requests from our sellers nationwide, we advise that you consider self-fulfilling orders as it enables for swift delivery and also instant gathering of your proceeds. This is especially necessary for orders that come in for your store and buyers stay within your state. Customers get furious knowing that they have to wait a long period to receive their order and in order to avoid this, ensure that you find the right method for shipping that suits your time and that of the customer as this will keep them happy and coming back.
    
    OFFER INCENTIVES- Customers are usually more attracted to stores that offer incentives. it doesn't matter whether it's an expensive or cheap incentive. As long as it's a freebie, a customer may be willing to shop extensively from your store. There are various ways to provide/offer incentives to your customers. One of the most attractive incentives you can offer is “Free Shipping”. Though initially, offering free shipping may seem like it will negatively impact on your profits, you will find in the long run that customers are willing to spend more money if you eradicate shipping fee. Even customers that purchase high value items that cost as high as N150,000 may abandon their cart when they discover they are still required to pay for shipping despite the amount they are willing to spend.  However, considering the marketplace is a competitive trading platform, ensure you do not try to make profit off shipping or over-inflating the product price to accommodate the free shipping. This might keep your customers unhappy especially when they make use of a price checking website to compare prices and discover your prices are higher compared to other sellers on the mall. 
    
    Remember, online selling is all about keeping your customers happy.

    Thanks for your post. But how do we get to resolve issues with K-express delivery team returning items and marking them as "Rejected by customers" when actually the customer wasn't contacted let alone see the item to reject?

    For self-fulfil orders, you will be required to package the items with your own materials. Buyers on Konga are aware that the mall is home to thousands of trusted sellers and as such are willing to receive packages directly from you.
    
    We however advise that you package items neatly, attractively and in line with the type of items that was ordered. A buyer may only consider rejecting an order that comes in not properly packaged or already with a dent to its carton/pack. You can also consider creating your own customized packaging materials to impress your buyers as well.

    if i am considering  self-fulfilling shipment, will it be possible to have some shipping packaging material like Konga nylon to send the item to buyers? i don't think customer will be satisfied if the package comes without Konga packaging material. i await your reply. thanks
