I do no understand what Konga has come to.
Last week, I uploaded some pairs of adidas slides I just procured and they were rejected(my products have never been rejected before in my 7 months with Konga) with the reason "This type of item is not permitted on Konga" and after 3 more attempts and rejections, the last one came with the reason "Trademark Infringement. Please provide registration details."
I naturally sent an email complaint only for a rep to call me saying "adidas has asked them to reject other merchants' adidas products because people sell fakes"
I am so incensed right now. We have people selling all sorts on eBay, Alibaba, AliExpress etc. Is adidas not rep'd in those countries? No disrespect but if they continue like this and Nike come in with the same attitude...I will move my market to Jumia real quick!!!
What nonsense. I buy exciting stuff from the US and they get their boring products from SA and Dubai then want to come and block somebody's hustle?
Konga, you will lose merchants soon!!!

    @Ebere O.
And y'all did not see it fit to send out newsletters concerning this?
Secondly, why isn't this given as a reason for rejection? Why tell me "Item not permitted on Konga" or Trade Mark Infringement. Provide Registration Details"? These don't sound like the same reasons you just listed up there!
Thirdly, who am I to submit these proofs of purchase to? I shop online so I have got all my receipts sent to my email.
Furnish me with details. All you have done is give me reasons with no solutions!
You people are an online platform and there are several ways to even eyeball these products....a Skype video call will not hurt!

    Hello Tersoo,
Please be informed that effective March 2015, all merchants involved in the sale of high end products such as Adidas are required to provide proof of product authenticity for verification purposes. Your proof of purchase can be from a verified brand representative permitted to sell these items or directly from the brand itself.
As our brand and customers remains our priority, we aim to constantly guarantee satisfaction on the authenticity of all products we offer on the Konga Mall.

    Yea @Tolulope!
They can't stand a little competition. Why on earth did they set up the Merchant Initiative in the 1st place?
First they take off your brand names when you upload items now they are stopping you from selling completely.
    They've lost me!

A quick search on Konga's website shows that all the Adidas products are being sold by KONGA only.
Is this something that we should be concerned about, Konga?
That merchants should worry about buying branded items to sell on your marketplace?

Howdy, Stranger!
