    Dear Partner,

Compliment of the season to you and yours! May the coming new year usher in more sales for you.

We believe your store is getting prepared for the holiday rush. If you are yet to prepare, you might want to do some planning before things get too busy. Use our checklist below as a starting point for your holiday preparation.

Set a goal - If you have been selling on Konga for over a year, reviewing your performance during this holiday season can help inform your plan for the coming year, i.e. what worked for you in 2016 and what didn’t? Which were your highest selling products and which were your lowest? If you are a new seller, look back at your performance since you started your store and you will be able to find patterns. Use the information gathered to set a goal and strategy that’s measurable and achievable for your business.

Take Inventory - Does your shop offer a solid assortment, or do you need to increase your store’s assortment? Remember, the more assortment you have, the more likely you are to make a sale. Make a plan to list new products you are yet to include in your online inventory or unpause any new or existing out of stock products as quickly as possible.

Revise your Categories and Descriptions - Review your listings, check that you have selected the appropriate category for each item and choose words and phrases buyers would likely use to find your items. Use basic words that describe your item. In your item descriptions, is your writing compelling and clear? Does it communicate everything a buyer needs to know?

Develop a Promotion Plan for your Store- If you’re just starting out in online business, you will need a promotional strategy to break into the online market. Consider picking a single channel to focus on for a start, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or a third party website; Linda Ikeji, Bella Naija etc. Plan out daily promotions for the season. You can also take advantage of our discounted advert channels to promote your products/store during this season. To do this, please contact us at adsales@konga.com
