In the quest for free delivery "as konga have been urging us to do" i have come to agree on free delivery to some parts of the states, but when am offering free delivery it has to be prepaid "no story" then this is the main reason i opened this disussion KONGA SHOULD URGENTLY PUT BESIDE THE "free shipping box" another box that allows me to set a minimum order purchase. It makes no sense to deliver a 500naira pair of earrings to Aba when delivery costs 1000naira..... Thats a whole lot of stupidity there. So the konga team should come up with a box allowing us set up a minimum order purchase to enble the free shipping worthwhile. I can't sell a single glass cup that costs 200naira for 1200 because i want to add my shipping cost. But if a seller knows that i offer free shipping when they purchase plates, and cutlery from my store they will be glad to regroup their order and buy most of what they need from one store in a bid to get free shipping.... In between did we merchants offend konga? Because there is no policy from this self fulfilment that favours merchants at alllllll! not even a single consideration!

    Hello all,

We appreciate your feedback. We are currently working on ways to make the new self-fulfill a seamless process and all necessary suggestions are being put into consideration to ensure this.

I concur. It makes no sense adding 550 naira to all orders in lagos because 500 naira will go to delivery and another 50 naira as extra bonus commission for konga. Abeg naaa!

    @ Yetunde B,
Exactly what i am saying. They should allow us set minimum order purchase to get free shipping.

    @ Yetunde B,

You don't understand it, its not about adding a delivery charge to a particular item. Its going to become buyer's choices to buy all they might need from one seller if the person has all or alternatives they wouldn't mind for example if i provide free shipping to abuja the buyer must buy goods worth 8000 naira from my store. So if he/she has wanted to buy bags that costs 7000naira he/she may decide to add a pair of earrings of 1000naira to benefit free shipping even though the buyer sees the earrings for 800 naira in another store he/she would prefer to buy from me due to free shipping. My own is that they should include a minimum order box that we can set.

I guess there is something we are all forgeting, most times buyers patronise different stores on konga in a single visit to the mall, with this new method, how does the shipping cost on each item from different stores affect d buyer and d seller?

Yes, it seems the merchants are not been considered here but i must say Konga is running a test on this new shipping system. they have been running at a loss in terms of shipping, which i believe we all know. Lets give them some months to try this new features of theirs and i assure you guys thereafter, remedial changes would be made by konga that will favor both the merchant and the buyers.

    @ Opeyemi O,
Hahahahaha Sambisa...... hahaha all these things are going to take a whole lot of time and its a pity that Konga didn't look into these things before launching. They just keep preaching "free delivery" and where is that Mr Brest that was always replying to people's comment sef? Since the launch i haven't seen any konga moderator with any viable answer to anything so pratically they weren't trained for this, they don't know what answer to give to unexpected questions because they are less informed too, worst still some of the mall numbers are switched off when you call sometimes. Haba! that's the height of disrespect please a hotline should ALWAYS be on. Me i don't know what to say anymore. Whenever the payment before shipment starts they should keep us informed and if they don't have the "minimum purchase" box by then i can only do pod in Lagos then prepaid outside Lagos. C'est tout!

Hello OPeyemi, Let me understand this, If a customer is in Sokoto and wishes to buy a heavy item like say a freezer, If the shipping cost is not affordable, he can opt to use someone else's address.
If this is the case, i know shipping address can be changed at the check out option, so this shouldnt be a problem.

    Dear Jumoke,
I feel your pain based on the cost difference you've iterated.
But actually, a work-around on the problem of delivery is possible (if Konga wishes to listen to our suggestions).

Konga needs to make certain changes to suit Buyers who are deeply in the interior and very far away.

For example, Sokoto Buyer vs. Lagos Seller
    Item Cost: N400
    Shipping Cost (Sokoto): N2,500

//Konga should simply add a feature like this//
    This Seller offers:
    * Pickup by proxy in another city -
To save Shipping Cost, check available cities where your friends or family can receive your order for you.
//Buyer scrolls through "Available Cities" and chooses a city that is most suitable//

    - Abuja (N750)
    - Lokoja (N500)
    - etc

//After selecting the city, Buyer enters Biodata of proxy receipient of the item to be shipped//
    Proxy Shipping Address:
    Name: Abu Shekau
Address: 1, Sambisa Forest Road, Lokoja, Kogi
    Mobile: 02012345678

This option makes it easier to bear the cost of a cheap item, at least bearable for a Buyer,
    Please add your voice.
    We'll get there someday.
    Cheers everyone.
