It will be very sad konga,if konga open the basis of is business to the world. Most buyers beleives that konga sells on the line and the act of allowing sellers to be disscussing isue of money with sellers with create some fears.I just spoke with a customer and to my surprise when i discuss about shipping fee with him,he said konga never informed him of this policy and also said konga has charged him 1k for the shipment of all the four orders he placed on konga site, and meanwhile, the mail sent to me state that shipping 0.00naira.which i expected that i should charge the shipping fee,i have to ask him to call konga customer care and i will call him back ,with the look of things,It is obvious i will lose this sales. This policy is not good enough,it will reduce customers patronage and put doubt in their heart as this is also another means for the smart boyz to do their things again.pls, lets stop this, policy!!!!!!!!

If there is no shipping cost. That means the buy has purchase from another store where they added the shipping cost for him or her. You won't pay for the shipping. Customer pays for it okay. Don't worry about it

I would advise you quickly accept those orders before it is too late

You don't see shipping fee because you are not the one paying for it. The buyer has already seen and paid for the shipping cost. That's why you don't pay any shipping cost when you go for dropoff. The only amount you see on the invoice is the amount due you. Haba!!! Are you a new seller on Konga?

Lol....this guy sounds so funny. He clearly doesn't understand the new policy at all. It has not even commenced yet and you are already haggling shipping cost with your buyer. For your information, it is going to commence on march 31. Until then, everything operates said usual. Even when it does commence, you don't need to discuss shipping cost with your customers. You just set it on your store and your buyers automatically pays for both the product and the shipping when checking out. Mr Akoredo, please get more information.

This new policy promises to be a very good one. Most of you who reside in Lagos are just being too selfish about it. You don't even care about people outside Lagos who yearn to sell on konga as well. Practically all ecommerce sites in Nigeria are based and restricted to Lagos sellers only. And you guys just want it to remain that way. This world is a global village, and its high time konga and all other sites follow suit. What is wrong with that for heavens sake.

@Akorede, If I read your comment correctly, you may actually be mistaking because Konga has yet to implement the self fulfill/individual shipping charge to customers. So, your customer may have very well been charged N1000 for all of his purchase, which is appropriate. I believe the self fulfill and individual shipping charge begins tomorrow or the day after.
@Valentine, I'm going to deviate from the norm here and disagree with you about Konga's new implementation. I think that it is a very smart and well thought out move that is going to revolutionize trading in Nigeria. It takes the trading advantages that has historically belonged to people that are capitally endowed, and are able to rent very expensive shops in prime locations and blah blah blah into the hands of ordinary people, allowing them to pick themselves up by the boot strap. Are they threading on a thin line? Absolutley! but all business moves involves some sort of risk. It may affect sales in Konga for a short period only because some products are going to be a little more expensive on Konga than other platforms, but the customers will soon get over it.
Lastly, bear in mind that all the other ecommerce platforms are watching on the sideline to see if this move is successful. If it is, they will be doing exactly the same thing. So big ups to Konga for taking the bold step-- strong leadership.

Akorede, I support your view. This policy, if care is not taken will reduce the traffic on Konga. People see Konga as they see jumia. You need to look into -ve & +ve effects of it before implementing it
