  • Merchant Cancellations of Orders

    Dear Sellers
    
    Our data suggests that cancellation of orders by a few merchants is reaching disturbing levels.
    
    This has an impact on the Sellers that do perform well as well as the overall health of the Konga marketplace.
    
    Konga has been lenient about enforcing cancellation rates up till now as we know that there have been challenges (including the perception of unserious buyers) that have warranted some sellers to cancel orders.
    
    Please note that over the next few weeks, we will be providing you with the flexibility and tools needed to remove the need to cancel any orders. At that point, Konga will begin to enforce more stringent rules around cancellation rates.
    
    Sellers that violate these rules harm other better reforming sellers, harm buyers and harm the marketplace and will be suspended and possibly permanently expelled from the platform.

    Not to worry. The days of Konga forcing you to use KExpress will soon be over and you will have flexibility to use KExpress, ACE, DHL, EMS or even send your own driver/delivery man. 
    
    You will also have the power to set if you offer Pay on Delivery or not.
    
    There will be no reason then to fear shipping because of ineffectiveness of a particular shipping channel or risk a customer will not accept delivery because they did not commit payment.

    Just I complained three days ago that I have more than 15 orders NOT SHIPPED for some times now. Even as I'm talking now, they are not shipped. I wouldn't be surprised if those orders are....

    Just have a good plan.  Your delivery system has been ineffective.  More than 50% of my shipped orders were returned after about 2months. How do you expect me to jump on every order I see.  And worse you don't give reason for return whether it was ineffective service or the buyer

    Please note also, that we will be instituting policies in the coming weeks that reward high performing sellers (i.e. Sellers with high delivery and satisfaction levels) with lower commissions, better placement in search results, etc.
    
    Performing on the marketplace will benefit your business even as it benefits the health and sustainability of the platform.
