    Hello MKO Products,

With the new SHQ, you will be able to set payment options for your products - pre-paid only, cash on delivery or both. This should reduce instances where the customer is unable to pay on delivery.

Also, customers who repeatedly cancel or reject orders will be blacklisted.

@Aderonke, thank you for this. we really need the buyer rating because some customers need to be blacklisted when they have a bad reputation.
you can call a customer every step of the way till the order gets delivered and it can still be returned to you with the excuse of "i did not have money on me when the delivery man came"

@Lanre, Konga encourages merchants to contact the buyer before shipping out the order to be sure they really want the product which is why the customer details are included in the notification you receive.
Contacting the buyer before shipping has helped me differentiate serious buyers from the testers and infact helped with getting the customers to continue to patronize my store. I suggest you do the same before shipping out.

@Aderonke, Buyer Rating System is coming in the next few months. We have had complaints about Buyers from various Merchants. As Adeola said, merchants will be able to set products as either pre-pay or PoD. That way, merchants will control whether they only receive genuine orders.

We are launching a new SHQ at the end of this month, and one of the many exciting new features which will be available is that merchants will now have the power to decide if they want to accept PoD or not.

Konga no longer calls customers to verify orders, Orders are automatically verified. However, a merchant can call a customer to verify an order once you get the notification you have an order to avoid such occurrences.

It's annoying most times, I follow up on buyers, and likewise inform konga b4 some transactions get successful, some even start asking questions as if they never place the order, had some few returns and d bulk fall as outside lagos purchases, due to communication or not making up of their mind b4 placing the order, believe it's the Pay on Delivery that leads to this, if some buyers pay ahead, they will be the one after quick and prompt delivery..

This I can't say much because I had only one order returned since I have been selling on Konga because the buyer was not ready with the money. Trust Nigerians we can frustrate a good set up.

Hi. I also think konga should introduce a buyer rating system where sellers can also rate their experiences with individual buyers so that these ratings can guide future sellers . Where a buyer has been known to 'continuously test the platform', future sellers to such buyers know the risk they take, in terms of resources to commit, when they send goods to such buyers..
